02.2022 - 05.2022
In collaboration with the team of ‘Casco Art Institute: working for the commons’
Artist at Work (2022) was initially planned as a year-long auto-ethnographic research at Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons. This research explores the in-between position of an artist working in the office of an institution. While contributing to the daily management of the organisation under the title of Artist at Work, I got the chance to observe and participate in the multi layered relationships within the organisation.
Casco Art Institute has been one of the lighthouses to enlighten institutional practices in the past decades, suggesting other ways of working and focusing on ecosystem buildings with persistence. While locating myself within this ‘Work’, it had created its own circulation between myself as an observer and a contributor and furthermore, between the organisation and myself.
Indeed, during this period of deep reflections I’ve got diagnosed for Burnout and Depression, which have opened my eyes in different levels towards understanding life; not only the life of mine but towards lives of many other beings.
